What services do you provide?
We provide safe, reliable non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) for seniors, individuals with disabilities, and anyone who needs dependable support getting to and from medical appointments, community activities, or daily errands.
Are your drivers trained and certified?
Yes. All drivers are PASS-trained and certified in wheelchair securement, passenger assistance, and safety standards required by the Ohio Department of Aging (ODA) and the Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD).
What areas do you serve?
We primarily serve the Cincinnati area and surrounding communities. If you’re unsure whether we cover your location, please contact us to confirm.
What types of vehicles do you use?
Our vehicles are ADA-compliant, wheelchair accessible, and equipped with Q’Straint securement systems designed for each rider's comfort and safety.
Do you provide same-day transportation?
Same-day requests may be available depending on schedule and capacity. Please call us directly for availability.
Do you accept insurance or Medicaid?
Yes. Suitable Transportation accepts Medicaid-eligible clients as well as private-pay riders.
How much does a ride cost?
Pricing depends on distance, level of assistance needed, and whether the ride is Medicaid-funded or private pay. Private-pay clients can request a rate sheet, and Medicaid rides follow approved reimbursement guidelines.
Can family members or caregivers ride along?
Yes. Family members or caregivers are welcome to ride along. In most cases, there is no additional cost for one companion, though certain programs (like Medicaid) may have restrictions or requirements. For private-pay rides, additional companions may be subject to a small fee to cover seating and insurance.
Do you transport passengers with oxygen tanks?
Yes, we can safely transport clients who use portable oxygen concentrators (POCs) or small travel-sized tanks that are carried in a bag or secured to the wheelchair. Clients must ensure they bring an adequate oxygen supply that lasts at least twice the expected trip time, including possible delays.
At this time, we do not provide or refill oxygen, and we cannot transport large oxygen cylinders unless they are secured in approved medical-grade equipment supplied by the client or facility.
How will I know when my ride arrives?
A: Our “chirps” notification system provides real-time updates — letting you know when we’re on the way, when you’ve been picked up, and when you’ve safely arrived.
